Google has done some interesting things lately. LMS Classroom is one of them. More likely your institution is already running an LMS at the enterprise level. If not (or you are looking for an alternative or as a project site, explore this video for details. Be aware, that if any LMS is not fully ingratiated with your enrollment system and other registrar’s databases, a faculty member would need to manually create class sites and enroll students. (and would you really like it???).

Coursera and Turkcel partnership
Coursera is partnering with Turkcell, a telecommunications provider in Turkey, to “build resources for Turkish learners.” Turkish students will be able to use interface in Turkish and experience Turkcell Akademi focusing on business, math, and technology.

Campus Technology Announces 2014 Innovators Award Honorees
Campus Technology (the conference will be mid July, in Boston) officially announces the winners of its 10th annual Innovators Awards. This year, 11 honorees were selected in six categories out of 215 nominations submitted from outstanding higher education institutions around the globe. Read more in the CT post.
SocialBook’s video annotation
SocialBook might be a great tool if you are using video in instruction or your students produce video as their course assignment.
Students can post their comments on a particular episode and see comments of others. If you are using a copyrighted videos, there are some restrictions, so be mindful.
MIT and Harvard released MOOC data
Two institutions released data for the past academic year based on 16 MOOCs. Let’s use the finding to improve learning and teaching!
