New blended learning resources from Ireland!

The Blended Learning Toolkit from colleagues in RSC Northern Ireland is an open resource for anyone who is interested in getting started with blended learning. The aim of the toolkit is to provide step-by-step practical guidance and links to useful resources for developing your blended learning materials.

The toolkit has four parts:
Part I is focused on getting familiar with the concept of blended learning and understanding how roles and responsibilities of lecturers are evolving.

Part II focuses on planning your approach to your blended course design. Planning includes analysing your traditional course to identify sessions which can be delivered online, while considering the needs of your learners

Part III looks at how to develop content and online activities and how to source appropriate media and materials which are readily available online for use in education.

Part IV centers on how to build a standalone online module, using various authoring tools which are available.

There is also a supporting video which provides an overview and is interspersed with case study clips from learning provider staff.
